I'm Hispanic, but I was brought up American so I don't understand how I'm a slut for wanting to be with a guy that truly does care about me and I feel the same for him. I caught my mom once; she was fooling around with a married man and I walked in on her giving him head. Yet, why am I the slut when I'm in a committed relationship? 2

My mom was fooling around with the married man and I just caught them in the act. I never interacted with the married man. It's a double standard situation in which she's unable to recognized that she's the slut and not me.

I really don't mean to judge your mother, and I'm sure there are reasons why she thinks that's ok to do (environment, upbringing etc).......but if she did call you that.....it's not ok, and it's terrible parenting. I can never express my opinions to her because she always feels like what she does is always right. Whenever I try to tell her that she's hurting me she just yells louder and ignores whatever I said.

You sound like you know what is right and what isn't. Unfortunately, until you're in a position to support yourself you have to lay low and avoid confrontation. Hang in there. 2

The only way to deal with this type of person is to step away. They cannot see their own behaviour so long as there is someone around for them to blame things on. As the others have said, move out as soon as you can.
