Ex attempted to break NC

So I'm up playing Dark Souls 2 and its 5 a.m. over here, when all of a sudden I hear my phone ring and I automatically assume its one of my friends calling me cause they are drunk, or they want to play also. I look at my phone and I realized its my ex gf's phone number and that relationship ended about 7-8 months ago(September) and I have been complete NC for about 7 months.

 

The reason I know this, seeing as how I deleted her number right after we broke up, is because around January I got a weird call at 6 a.m. and those numbers looked familiar so I asked my friend who still had her number saved, and they checked out, it was her. At the time I figured she pocket called me by accident or something cause who calls at 6 a.m. not even drunk ppl and I didnt pay it any mind.

 

Fast forward to now its 4:50am and I see her calling me, it ringed twice and stopped, I assumed it was an accident, but then she called again untill the answering machine picked up I assume. Why do I think she called? Who knows, probably drunk, by accident, her friend(s) maybe put her up to it or they did it themselves, it doesnt really matter because I won't find out and I dont intend to either. Am I curious? Of course, part of me wanted to pick up and not say anything just to see, but then if she answered I would've felt dumb hunging up, and I definitely didnt want to have a conversation with her, especially at 5 a.m........no scratch that, at all.

 

So why am I writing this? Because at one point I was so miserable hoping she would've reached out to me in the slightest and now dark souls (2) is WAY more important, actually thats an insult to DS2, letting my new ringtone finish was more important then talking to her again. When we broke up I was in a slump, and I couldn't find a job nothing was going my way. Now I just got hired last week and I just got called yesturday for an interview at another job and I'm going to go just to keep my options open.

 

I'm also writing about this because I just wanted to let this all out and what better place then here ^^ . Anyway for anybody out there feeling miserable, like all hope is lost and you will never find happiness again, dont fear look at me, if I can find happiness I KNOW everyone else will too. Sure images of her pop into my head every so often but that shrunk from every minute of the day to once in a blue. Just be patient, forgive and forget, and hold your head up high, dont break and go crawling back because at the end of the day if your not happy with yourself and the decisions (mistakes) its hard to feel happy again.

so she didnt. because she wasnt in NC. you were. it can be a one way thing.

 

it may be a drunk dial. she may be fishing for a response. either way, ignore it.

You should've answered it...why not it's been long enough since the BU. I'd call back. Nothing to lose.

Nope. Unless the message is "Oh my God, I am literally on fire and without a bucket of water", there's no need to answer.

You should've answered it...why not it's been long enough since the BU. I'd call back. Nothing to lose.

 

Im definitely not calling back, if she actually had something to say she would've left a voicemail or called at a regular time. Plus she was showing huge signs of G.I.G.S so its going to take a lot more then a random calls in the a.m.

Lmaooo, I thought I was in a parallel LS universe when i read i had "nothing to lose" to "call back". Have i been doing it wrong all this time xD

Answering it while Dark Souls 2 is running? Are people out of their minds?!

 

OP, you did the right thing. Interrupting a game for some crazy ex, yeah sure. Might as well just do her laundry... :rolleyes:

How are you playing DS2 already? Isn't it released in April? I only game on PC so maybe the consoles get it earlier.

My ex dumped me right before dark souls 2 came out. Needless to say, he should be doing ayyy okay with being distracted :/

I broke up with my ex right before GTAV was released. That sucked.. not a care in the world for a good 3 months. :laugh:
