Merin Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 So, tomorrow I'm taking my BF for his Doc's appointment to be *gasp* "Snipped" It's in the afternoon and shouldn't take over 30 minutes or so.. Heres my question.. I'm going to be staying with him this weekend (they told him 3 days of bed rest after the procedure) so I'll be there to help him out and take care of him.. Obviously we won't be doing anything that fun (damn!) but I really want to help him out and make things easier for him this weekend while he recovers.. Any suggestions?
tattoomytoe Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 well my father had it done years ago..... he laid around and iced his crotch. get movies, etertainment, ice (or frozen veggies), comfy pillows, and snacks. If i were him, just the fact that my gal was there caring for me, and the fact that soon we can have unprotected sex anytime..... especially with Merin, Welp, that would be enoug for me!
Barby Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Ok call me dumb but "snipped"??? Circumsized or so he can't have anymore kids???

I was thinking about getting things to cook, movies.. frozen Pea's.. He has just moved into his house, and I've been trying to help him out put things away, hang pictures that kind of thing.. and I'm thinking while he sleeps maybe I'll try to clean up a little.. I know he'll be sleeping a lot with the Meds.. so yeah.. just want to help him out in feeling better and being as comfortable as possible.

tiki Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 One of my exes had it done...he'll live. Just baby him like you'd do any other time. Atleast he's having it done. YAY!
tattoomytoe Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 and remind him a lot, how you wanna do him and his sterile johnson!!! maybe just show him what there is to look forward too. Plus that may make the blood flow better and he may recover faster!

I'm trying to think of things he would like.. the last time he was sick (not like anyone cutting on him LOL) but he had like the flu.. he was up all night at my house throwing up.. and let's just say he didn't make a good "patient" Soooo.. I know he's not going to be feeling so great after this, and because he doesn't seem to be the best at letting me "baby him" a whole lot.. I'm trying to think of what would be good here.. BUT maybe he wasn't so great at letting me last time because he was having to move all his crap into his house the next day.. so he was just feeling kind of cranky to begin with?
tiki Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Wait...2 of my exes have had this done. Man it makes it so nice when you don't have to worry about pregnancy. I'm taking it he wants no more kiddos?

Plus that may make the blood flow better and he may recover faster! MG! :Laughing so hard!: It's funny because this is the big reason he is having this done.. so we can hit it without worry.. HOWEVER.. I'm planning to get to his house early tomorrow before I have to take him to the appointment so we can get busy BEFORE he has this done.. he actually told me the other night when I was at his house (he had just made the appointment that day) that under NO circumstances am I to go near his *stuff* this weekend! LOL Damn, he told me I was cut off until he heals! Like wtf was I going to do? Jump him in the car following surgery?
CurlyIam Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 You can try to make something that is crispy. Or with sour cream. My bf loves that. Very important: let him chose the movies he wants to watch ( ). You can cook your own special pasta sauce - bf loves that too. Don't worry too much, 2 days is NOTHING, they'll puff right in the air. So if you reallt want to help, make a plan with things to do each day. And stick to it. (When my bf comes over to my place, I tend to linger all day and just enjoy him being there.) I think you shouldn't turn the whole place around, even if you feel like it. Take it slow and make SURE he appreciates the effort. I burnt my fingers once with one ungratefull b******.

I've got my 2, he has his 2.. and as it is now, he freaks out that he might get me pregnant.. so the vasectomy will be a good thing. He did however ask me if I minded if he got it done.. so that was nice that he asked. It will be good to not have that worry.

No I won't go nuts in the house, just isn't my style to be that way.. but cleaning up.. LOL I don't think he'll mind. He loves it when I cook for him.. so i'm thinking about going to the store before tomorrow to bring things over there to cook.. Movies.. LOL We agree pretty much on what is a good movie and what isn't.. but yeah.. I'm steering clear of the "chick flicks" he's not so much about those. Tiki.. when your EX's had this done how long did it take for recovery? Any thing you did that made things easier for them?
tattoomytoe Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 merin~ the majot thing to remember is that this is the PENIS, basically men think it is some extension of their personalities, emotions, basically everything. so do not get surprised if he some sort of post op depression....like a few weeks, months from now. be very sensative to his needs as stupid or trivial as they may be. and this type surgery is not as it was. it is very non-invasive, and will mostly be discomfort for him, so bite your tounge if he acts like a complete and utter infant, give him a day or two.

Thanks Girl, I will most definately keep that in mind over the next few days.

Author Merin Posted January 27, 2005 Author Posted January 27, 2005 Originally posted by tiki That was pre-me. Sorry. Just a little ball scar. LOL It was funny we were watching T.V the other night (the day he had made his appointment) the show scrubs was on.. it was when one of the Docs on there gets a vasectomy without asking his wife about it first.. showed him limping and sitting down with some pain.. LOL I asked Josh if he was taking notes on that.. Eh.. hopefully it will all go well, and not hurt to terribly much. Thanks you guys
herbalyyys Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 the last guy before my hubby had one done while we were together(duh! like hed have a second or third one done)ANY how... he was fine by third day,and fifth or sixth day we went to town. But in meantime he said he had jacked off a few times to see if any difference. Ithink he said doc TOLD him to jack off, and to still use protection for a few weeks. That was like 8 or 9 years ago, so maybe they do procedure different. But he had a small complex for a few weeks(still had some tenderness) with worrying that I thought he was less manly. So BABY him, let him know he is still a hunk, and that you love his cock even more that you dont worry about pregnancy. Oh, and he said it felt like he was just kicked in the balls real hard. ............... ........like 10 times by 10 different guys. But hey SHADDUP! WE give birth, so how bad can it be.I mean we forcefully push a 7 and up pound object thru an area that normally accomodates 6 (and up!) inches...all they are having done is a bit of invasive surgery with a TINY TUBE!!! No Contest. I win.

Author Merin Posted January 31, 2005 Author Posted January 31, 2005 Well took him in on Friday afternoon for his Snip.. I went in with him for the consultation and instructions.. the Doc asked if we were both in agreement and good with this being done.. (thought it was awesome that he wanted me in with him for this part) so he signed the paperwork, I signed as the witness and they took him to a different room for the procedure.. 20 minutes later he came out.. and to my amazement, he was doing really well! The doc said we had about 4 hours before the numbness would go away.. so we went to eat and then to get some movies... I gave him meds once we got to his house, and we had stopped at the store on the way there and got frozen pea's to ice him down.. so did this for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off through out the rest of Friday and some of Saturday.. We didn't do much all weekend but hang out, watch movies and talk a lot.. he told me today that when he can have a good time with me under the circumstances of a snip LOL then he could have a good time with me doing anything! On the funny side as well.. we had gone to get coffee on Saturday.. I was waiting at the coffee bar for my latte.. Josh was sitting at the table waiting for me.. a guy walked in to get coffee.. Josh was looking over at me and whistled.. the guy at the counter turned around and looked at him like wtf! LMAO Josh waved at the guy! I was laughing so hard! He walked over to me and said, he would make a jackass outta himself anytime to make me smile and laugh.. He was a good "patient" did everything the Doc said he should do.. he didn't complain one time about anything.. and let me take care of him The "good part" He is a freakin rock star ladies! LOL vasectomy on Friday afternoon.. and uh.. Sunday Morning.. he was all about making sure everything still worked right Yay! OMG LOL he's amazing! Before I left today, I cleaned up his house, got him his meds and pillow.. put on his DVD.. he told me he appreciated all I had done.. for having his back.. and that he had a good weekend with me.. hmmmm not bad for a guy who just had it snipped I think Yay!
Barby Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Yeeah! Yeeah for both of you! I'm so glad that you two had such a wonderful weekend (even under the circumstances)

He gave me a lot of positive signs that he's serious about me.. he cleared out a dresser drawer for me LOL yay! Told me we needed to go shopping for my "girl stuff" as he likes to call it! LOL I bring about 4 bottles of stuff into the shower so thought it might be good for me to leave things at his house so I don't have to pack everytime I go to stay over with him.. He also asked me at dinner on Saturday if I feel he is a "good fit" in my life.. I told him he is.. he is my happy medium.. my EXH was/is somewhat "passive" and of course my EXBF is very controlling.. he was happy to hear that I'm happy with him.. just stuff like that.. I could go on and on.. but LOL I don't want to make the Llama sick! Ha ha (Loves ya Llama!) Thank you again Barby.. and btw that is a nice photo of you:)
