This is very difficult, say I have like five hobbies for example. On a first date, shes going to know everything I like. How do you reveal interests/things about yourself over time. On a first date, usually you cover a lot about yourselves, so surely its quite difficult to hold things back, without bringing on short answers and awkward silence. The other question I have, is how to tell a girl your busy, without coming across as a bit of a dick, or blowing her off. I sometimes have things I'm doing. Is it okay to say to a girl hey, sorry bit busy atm or whatever. I don't want to make her feel like I don't care about her, but at the same time I need to have my own life. How do you word it to a girl that your busy ast the moment and you want to talk to her later?

Have you tried listening to the girl instead of mumbeling all about your self? Let her share and when she does listen carefully and look her in her eyes. Girls love that. Allways keep a little mystery about yourself. Don't be needy and don't be always available. Hey I'm busy right now because I'm working on reinventing the wheel but i'm free latter can you join me for coffe? Something like that. I sometimes have things I'm doing. todreaminblue Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 it isnt always up to a guy to keep a conversation going it takes two to make a conversation so you just let it flow...silences don't have to be awkward, words dont need to fill every space ...breathers are good.......my ellipses are breathers....;0)...kidding..... i am however a spastic when typing so they help me gather tangents and off i go again......conversations dont have to be all about you......or all about her.it can be about people you have met funny stories anecdotes.......they can be how you feel about world events ...so many rich tangents to divulge...limitless.... as i said silence can be good to help you gather tangents...good ones not empty ones.... to keep a girl interested....you have to be interested in her and how she feels...just listen...not only to what she says but when she doesn't say anything...change the topic...its over..... if you are into her the conversations will flow and if there is silence don't look at as awkward.... be open be honest be yourself and if you are busy you are busy so say so....as long as you aren't busy with someone else and chattign them up all should be sweet....good luck.....deb

I just had problems with a girl recently. She gave me huge amounts of encouragement, really made me think we were going somewhere, but I overdid it on the second date and now shes gone. I will have to learn from it. However interested someone seems, taking things easy is the way to go. Not too much or too little interest

Gain her trust sometimes girls love to take things slow(normal girls) I'm not talking about the kind of girls that I go out with. I've ended up having sex with one that I just met.lol. 1

I wasn't exactly thinking of sex in the first few dates, but I definitely thought we were at the stage of intimacy. Think she led me on a bit as well as me taking things too far. I think it was as much her fault as mine
