Hi, if any of you has read my previous thread you'd know I'm from a very conservative part of a very conservative country, where it's really hard to meet or even interact with women. So I've decided to go online. I know people don't date long distance much especially someone in a different country thousands of miles aparts. But atleast that way may be I can get some female friend, that I may oneday have a casual voice or video chat with hopefully, that will let me atleast get familiar with females and enable some interaction. So my question is how to do it? I mean what to say to them the first time and do I randomly message them or are there any specific kind of women that I should message ?

I'm a really inexperienced person when it comes to this, so any advice will be appreciated. And I pardon if I come off as too ignorant or anything.

I would admit that I would have a hard time getting a date online even in this country let alone a foreign country. However, if was was really interested in the idea. I would immerse myself in whatever country she was from to try and get a feel for the customs and beliefs. Then using my new knowledge I would try and to impress her. Again, I when it comes to online dating, I'm not very good. I do worlds better in person.

Thanks for replying. But as I said I'm not looking for a date, I'm just looking to interact with females and make friends online which is almost impossible where I live.

You should try language exchange sites, like My Language Exchange (the idea is you teach your language and they teach theirs), or pen pal sites like Pen Pal World or Interpals. Search for people who have common interests and talk about them. Don't say that you come from a conservative country where you can't interact with women and are looking to meet some online, because some might get worried you are interested in cybersex and might not feel comfortable responding. However, if you show an interest in their culture and say you want to learn more about it, you should be able to find some nice pen pals!

Thanks for advice. You're right about that and I will check out these sites, as for the language site I don't think anyone would be willing to learn language of my country cuz I bet no one would ever wanna even visit this country but still I will check that site aswell.

I come from and live in Asia. In my country there are also some groups of community thay forbid their members to interact with those of the opposite gender.

I'm not one of them, but I respect their ways.

Just try to show some manner in a decent way.

I tried making friends online 8 years ago, but men hit on me so then I stopped.

Most just wanted cyberS.

Stopped finding friends that way ever since.

I interact every day with expats at the office anyways...

I hope you make lots of new multicultural friends!

People need to learn languages for many reasons, including business and just being interested in another culture. Good luck!
