tory1012 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 So I haven't written anything on this forum for the time frame mentioned in the title. I suppose I just wanted to write some things which will give people hope because at one point I was in the same position as everyone else here. Reading and relating to other peoples situations really did help me when I was feeling at my worst. However it is a day by day process! Time is the only thing that heals all love wounds. I remember sitting in bed one day and crying the whole day because the person I was trying to get over called another girl beautiful. This is a very extremist approach and not everybody is able to do this, but I moved cities and that helped ALOT. I was able to not have the possibility of "accidentally seeing him". Alot of my time went into exploring the new city and meeting new people. Anyway I met somebody in this new city who I am now engaged to and couldn't be happier! There is a light at the end of the tunnel however it seems to be a very, very small speck of light. Oh yes and NO CONTACT is the best thing to do otherwise you just perpetuate your feelings. I really do hope this helps. Tory 3

mtnbiker3000 Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I just did the city switch myself. Been here a week and so far so good... Starting to explore and carve out a new life. Baby steps so far, but in the right direction... 1
LostConfused123 Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Congratulations! Thanks so much for taking the time to share and give hope. I just (a couple months) got back into the dating scene. Nothing so far but at least I can stomach the thought of dating again. That's HUGE for me. . . .LOL! Thanks again! Can't wait to be where you are! ((hugs!))
