Live_wire Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 So I've met this gal who is very confusing and contradictory in her behavior. Every time I see her she stares at me wide-eyed, with glassy eyes and a bit of a dazed, weird, open-mouthed smile. She makes no attempt to hide this. But when I speak to her, she is very avoidant, only speaking with me briefly, before shutting me out by staring intently at her phone. -- I saw her a few days ago, and the same thing happened. I entered the room and she stared at me wide eyed, not paying attention to what she was doing. She walks up to me (no eye contact), and stops. I say 'what's up?' and she walks off, muttering: 'hey, how you doin.' Is she crazy, shy, passive aggressive, uncertain of herself, or something else?
Gaeta Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 She is shy. Are you interested in her? If you are then don't come on too strong, start by chatting with her a little each time before asking her out on a date.
Author Live_wire Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014 Yeah you're right. She likes to talk a little bit at first, but not a lot. You have to move slow with this girl, but perhaps she is a bit too slow for my tastes.
Author Live_wire Posted March 18, 2014 Author Posted March 18, 2014 Who knows. There could be another guy involved as well. Just speculating.
Author Live_wire Posted March 18, 2014 Author Posted March 18, 2014 I like to think mixed signals mean no signal. That's a loser's strategy for sure.
TaraMaiden Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 It could be her contact lenses are giving her problems.... or maybe she really does need an eye test. I'd ignore it,and avoid eye contact with her. The more aloof you appear, the stronger her curiosity will be....
GoreSP Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 That's a loser's strategy for sure. Hey I'm not the one asking if my current date is interested in me… 2

mrs rubble Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Hmmm glassy eyes and a bit slow. Is she stoned? 1
WrinkledForehead Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Hmmm glassy eyes and a bit slow. Is she stoned? That was my thought. She could be blitzed.
Author Live_wire Posted March 18, 2014 Author Posted March 18, 2014 No, she is not a substance abuser and shows no signs of such.
Author Live_wire Posted March 18, 2014 Author Posted March 18, 2014 All right we are definitely talking past each other. Let me get this straight: are you all saying that you don't REGULARLY have members of the opposite sex checking you out? Or, that they don't sometimes ogle or stare excessively? Because this is the norm for me. If you don't experience it, then we may not have a common reference point.

I think that she likes you but she's to shy to do something about it. Some folks suggested that she could be intoxicated or something, geez the poor girl is shy and that's it.
