Have any of you ever gotten back with an ex after the both of you, during your break up, saw other people? I don't mean like they just dated one person than came back, but they played the field. Me and my ex are in the current situation, we broke up 5 months ago, went no contact for 2 months (2 months after the breakup) and have been in constant contact now every day for the past few weeks. He is the dumper by the way. He initiates all the contact (texts me every day) and has told me he still has feelings, and thinks we can still get back together later on but needs time right now. we have both been dating/meeting other people however still remain in contact every day. The breakup was totally my fault as I treated him badly towards the end and I believe he is scared to take me back right away as he is afraid I will go back to my old ways. he told me he wants to see that I can treat him the way he treated me before we get serious again. So, what are your thoughts on this? can 2 people get back together after both have been dating around and not met anyone else they were serious about?

d0nnivain Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 maybe but I don't think 5 months is enough time for you two to have resolved whatever issues drove you apart. I had a college roommate who reconciled & married her HS BF a few years after college. They had both grown up a lot & it worked.
