iDrumKing Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I work at a cafe and there is the particular girl that always comes in and works in her laptop. When I'm there she happens to be there. She really caught my eye and I really wanna get to know her, but both her and I not knowing anything about each other makes me nervous. Id be in my work attire and everything and I just don't know what I could do to "hit" on her. Advice? I know, one of these threads. Advice is appreciated though
bubbaganoosh Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Why don't you start out by going over to where she's sitting and say "Hi". That's a start. It's harmless and either she going to say hi back or not. If she does, then talk to her. 1
Shepp Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I was gonna be like "just ask" but if your working that might be unprofessional. Can you just write your number on the back of the receipt? and just tell her no pressure and then its up to her isn't it, the balls in her court if she wants to text she will. 1
Assasda Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 The whole writing your number on a receipt is super uncomfortable, and a good way of her not coming back. Yes, you could ask her about her laptop. Find some kinda joke to joke with her about. She's working so at some point she may want some kinda relief. Make a joke. Like she comes in and you say "welcome to our coffee shot, youre computer shop". You should have some balls to do this; but ask her what she's doing on her computer.

theediblewoman Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Hmm..like the others said just straight up asking might be a bit awkward. I used to work at a coffee shop and there were some guys that I thought were cute and came by often. What I would do is remember their drink and when they got to the counter be like "medium so and so, right?" and then they'd make some lame comment like "oh wow good memory" and it kind of got the convo going a bit and established that I noticed them. From there, they'd usually be friendlier and I would occasionally throw in a free drink or treat to "reward them for their loyalty" usually that's a pretty clear , non aggressive ,sign of interest. In short, get some sort of contact with her and then after a few events of well received interactions ask her out. 1

Go there when you're not working and just say ''hi'', try starting a conversation see how it goes.Asking her for her number it's a tricky maneuver. Get to know her a little bit first. The thing is that if you mess up you'll see her every day and that will be super uncomfortable. 1
gaius Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Figure out some other place you can find her through casual conversation and show up there to ask her for her number. 1
