Caracalla Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Hello, I'm a 21 year old male college student and I believe I am in love, or infatuated, in all I feel very strongly about this girl ...anyway I'm of course trying to decipher if this girl I like has similar feelings. I'm not exactly sure how she feels and its giving me anxiety. Her actions towards me are unusual as she seems to be always uncomfortable or anxious, I try to approach on some occasions and then she suddenly has to leave, or sometimes she mumbles or whatever. On one occasion I was walking down a sidewalk, when she was coming up the other way, so I was getting excited that we would get the chance to exchange hellos and smiles because that's all she usually permits, but instead she saw me then quickly scuttled to the other side of the street where there is no sidewalk.On an another occasion we passed each other in our cars and she stared at me like a deer in headlights. Well, recently I tried to friend request her and she accepted after a little over a week then after a couple of days I sent her a friendly message to see how she was doing, but she hasn't responded. Now, I'm being patient and giving her space and all I want to do right now is gain some kind of real friendship, but I really don't know how that is going to work. Thank you for your time in reading this, I don't now what kind of feedback I really want...

The only other explanation is that she's so shy and socially awkward that she can't deal with any interaction with a guy who is showing interest. The best thing you can do is just get over it and move on. Don't waste your time and attention on someone who can't or won't reciprocate in any way. Life is too short.
