How do you know if you are in love with someone or you "just" love them?

Posted

I don't know, but perhaps if one felt the way about a guy the way they felt about their brother, it would not be romantic love.

I think that people experience love differently and there can be a variety of answers to that question.

For me, the differences between my husband and the other people I love is that there's obviously a sexual attraction for my husband, and he is the first person I always think of when I want to share something, when I need help, when I want an opinion, and so on. He is my partner in everything. His opinion matters the most to me and I trust him explicitly. And those things have all gotten stronger over time.

How do you know if you are in love...

If you don't know, then you don't.

When you do, you really know it.

You love your parents, your friends & your favorite food.

Falling in love comes with all that plus extras: excitement about seeing them, tingling feelings, the desire to hug & kiss them, butterflies etc.

See bolded. That is exactly how I feel about my favorite foods. It must be true love:love::love::love:.
