DirtyHairy Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) Hey there, I have been having some troubles as of late. I was in a relationship for 3 years and my old girlfriend left me (long story but bottom line is I was crushed afterwards for various reasons) and have been single for about 7 months and have been ready to try to find a date with a new girl but am just having a hard time. I am in University and go to the gym 3 times a week and have lots of hobbies and sports I like to play. I try and go out occasionally with friends to the bars but that isn't my favorite thing to do. I am having a hard time meeting women that are potential people I can date or people in general. I have big classes so it is pretty hard to get to know anyone since most of my classes have different people. I try and go out to coffee shops and the mall a few times a week to do my normal thing but never get to meet anyone unfortunately. OLD is out of the question for this smallish city even though I have tried but the women on there aren't really the type of women I would like to date. My main question is where can I meet some girls I can take out on dates and how do I even ask for a date? I met my past GF in high school so had the same classes for most the time how we met. I am a fun guy to be around, I am pretty funny, have fairly good looks and well kept/dress nice (no Brad Pitt or anything), have a strong future in my field of study, and I am a great boyfriend in my opinion and treat people really well but I just have a hard time meeting new people. When I am in the Library at school or at a coffee shop how would I approach a girl? I'm pretty shy if I don't know the person but really open up after I know them. Any help would be awesome! I get down sometimes because I just can't meet anyone even though I know it will happen eventually since I am a good guy. Edited March 8, 2014 by DirtyHairy
babycakees Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 What OLD site have you used? Have you tried multiple different sites or just one and didn't like it? There are a lot of OLD sites out there. I like OKCupid. It's even free.
Author DirtyHairy Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 I tried a few but its not the site its just the city I live in is fairly small so it's all the same people and not a lot of people who are actively trying to get a good career/university. I am not very picky about women but that is one thing I find important.
babycakees Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 You may need to branch just outside of your city. Isn't there a nearby large city, or no?
Author DirtyHairy Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 My city is about 60 000ish so it isn't small but not large at all and the nearest similar sized town is about 2 hours from here.
Noproblem Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Just say hi to your fellow student and talk about studying.....
