He asks me out last week & I say ok lets do this & then he says he's gonna come pick me up but then suddenly his car aint working? SO THEN...he keeps texting me & checking up on me saying lame shyt like, 'hey Kayla, what's good?' 'hey u doing anything?' I say nah I aint doing nothing & wbu? then he says, 'I'm chillen...hey u wanna go chill?' So I'm like cool he's gonna come & get me so we can get something to eat or whatever & just hang out. THEN...he tells me he ain't got no more money because he gotta fix the car. I ask him what's wrong with the car & he says its overheating & he doesn't know why & it keeps jerking & he don't want the car to explode with me in it & I'm like awwww....WHATEVER!! NOW...he keeps sending these texts asking me if I'm okay & if I'm sick or if I'm busy or if I'm watching a movie. I'm like WTF?! So then I ask him to STFU & come get me & then he says he cant because he broke again. So I say I thought u had a job & today's payday and he's now telling me that he quit the job & hope that I'm okay with it because it wont change how he feels about me?! FOR REAL? My cousin says he's a weirdo & I should ditch his ass but I felt like we was clicking really good until he started getting all lame. In case anyone cares he's 23 & me 18 so its not that big a deal but why is he quitting jobs if he has car insurance to pay? And he's supposed to be in to getting with me? How's he gonna cut this if he's gonna be broke?! I feel like I'm not getting any luck with these guys & I thought older guys was supposed to be better than this SHYT! ITS 3 IN A ROW NOW!

Doesn't mean you have to go out all the time and he has to shower you with fancy restaurants, but if he can't afford to take you out every once in awhile, he shouldn't be dating. 1

Date someone your age and focus on going to college. You have nothing in common with a 23yr old...... Yes older guys are suppose to be a lot more mature, but it seems this boy is just like you....still living with mom and dad, and not independent yet.

From the sounds of it, you don't work - because if you did, you'd know that sometimes getting a paycheck, isnt worth the stress or lack of inspiration you feel from having a ****ty job. And even though you have bills pay, you value your happiness more. ALSO - wheres your job? where is your offer to pay for diner or gas or transportation? 23 is super young, and in todays job market - he is lucky if he can find a decent job. Mean while, you can contribute too - not just sit back and expect to be taken care of. You must not really like him, if youre not willing to offer anything to him.

If you really like the guy, you'd be glad to have a picnic in the park with him, a night playing cards, or even just popcorn and a movie. Or even just ride the bus around town and talk. If he doesn't want to do those kinds of (inexpensive) dates, he's just not into you and wants a booty call, like the others said. 2
