OP this is how online dating is. Most men you will meet will fade away before the 3rd date. You let them go. When you meet a man that is really into you he will be in your face with it and he won't let you guess. Each man I met and were into me booked me for a second date before first date ended, they also texted me each day to touch base.

Also if you are looking for a LTR don't waste your time with men putting themselves in the 'hang out', 'friends', 'dating', category because well...that's exactly what you'll get. Stick with those who appear serious about meeting the one, and EVEN those will fade away if they don't click with you, yes, even after a great date.

I understand this may not really apply in this situation, but I wanted to add it would also depend on how much the girl responds/initiates back.

If after 2 or 3 dates, she isn't responding much or the guy is always initiating everything, he can take it as a sign she's not interested/seeing someone else and eventually fade away. The guy should def initiate first few times, but after a while there should be a good balance of give and take.

From a guy's perspective, it's nice to know the girl is interested in me and she took initiative once in a while.
