Taramere Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 ticking the casual sex box I think is her main draw. Id say a good bulk of the men messaging her are not trying to get a relationship with her. I had missed that bit initially, but yes.... At first, I thought if you listed ‘casual sex,’ guys would realize that even though I don’t want to be in a relationship with you, we can still go out, get drinks,” she says, but it triggered a vulgar explosion of come-ons. “It’s like, I’m not a prostitute. But they don’t get that. That's kind of staggering. The woman lives in NYC, as she puts it she's a smart woman who isn't easily intimidated. Gives the impression of being worldly wise - and yet she didn't anticipate the reaction putting "into casual sex" on a dating profile would get from some quarters? 1
ascendotum Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 ticking the casual sex box I think is her main draw. Id say a good bulk of the men messaging her are not trying to get a relationship with her. I thought I read were she has been doing OKC for 3 yrs now. The straight guy certainly does not seem to be looking for his dream girl rather clocking up dating adventures and maybe being the 'cool bachelor with lots of great stories'. Being the most popular on OKC they are not exactly great ambassadors for finding the love of your life online. Not knocking em for that though. I think a women would get better quality responses by mentioning not looking for anything serious or looking for dating or causal relationship in her profile rather than tick the casual sex box. For sure it added to her popularity (but she would not be the only one ticking it, and from reading the article it seemed the guy was gaming the system somewhat to boost his popularity.
Tayken Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 lol...he doesn't have to send messages. Clearly he has plenty of options contracting him. Hopefully none of those are STD, HIV or Syphilis 1
OldSchoolIsBack Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 WTH, "Hey" is the best pickup line. Why waste your time actually boosting their ego. If you write anything more than "hey" they BETTER write back otherwise go back to hey. Those people are all super clones and unoriginal copycats anyway. Heyyyyy!!!
RedRobin Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Shes not an unattractive woman, so the insult from your previous post was definitely hating on her. It's more hating on OkC and NYC than her in particular. It did confirm a couple of things to me... OkC is a waste of time for anyone looking for anything other than a hookup... if you are straight... If THAT is what is the most popular. The gay man and woman seemed the most normal. 1

What is your beef with the Tru State Area? You insulted NJ in the other thread and now you insult NYC.
Emilia Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 the tattoos and somewhat Burlesque look would draw in the kind of mainstream guys who hang around alternative clubs because they think all the girls there will give them crazy sex. This. It's about sexual availability. Looking for casual sex + slightly rough big tattoos = easy lay (not saying it's the case, I'm talking about perception).
RedRobin Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 What is your beef with the Tru State Area? You insulted NJ in the other thread and now you insult NYC. It's the worst place I've ever lived in my life... and that is saying something. I've been to every state in the US... and a few countries too... so it's not like I built my opinion off a TV show. When Snookie is like the NJ State Flag, and one takes a look at NYC's 'most popular'... it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see 'youse guys' have a few issues... Snooki - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I rest my case...
mario_C Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Both the women look great, and the straight woman sounds like a cool person. Actually, they all seem like neat people. Sorry. It's a NYC thing, you wouldn't understand. For all you male haters of O.L.D., my favorite quote: In the three and a half hours we spend talking, the phone will ping 47 times: On Tinder, 35 women will match with him; 12 women on *OKCupid* will either *message or favorite him. The week before, he took a screenshot of a Tinder notification: 890 new matches, a personal record. So, maybe it's not the system?
