Amethyst84 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Hey guys, Is it possible to have relationship OCD if you've never actually felt "in love" with the person to begin with. Like you're so focused on not being in love that you don't allow it to grow? Has anyone ever experienced something like that?
ExpatInItaly Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Hey guys, Is it possible to have relationship OCD if you've never actually felt "in love" with the person to begin with. Like you're so focused on not being in love that you don't allow it to grow? Has anyone ever experienced something like that? I'm not sure I know what you mean by relationship OCD. What you're describing sounds like a fear of intimacy and emotional attachment. I haven't experienced that, but a close friend of mine has problems with this.
Author Amethyst84 Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 It's basically obsessing over whether or not you're in love (at least that's one variation). I mean I know its a normal concern, but I feel like my questioning of my feelings has put me in a constant limbo. Like I know I care about, enjoy my time with genuinely love being around him...but for months all I can focus on is how I don't feel "enough" or what I think I should feel. I also find myself searching relationship advice ALL the time. It's like a constant need for reassurance.
