JoL Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 I was just wondering, when drs do blood tests for things like hepititis, glandular fever, liver functions etc, do these test results show indications of other diseases as well? Like an indication of "unhealthy" blood cells that may be caused by other infections or viruses?
Matilda Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Well, it really just depends on what tests were done exactly. Many times when blood tests are done, they will as a matter of course do a tests like a Complete Blood Count (CBC) which may be indicative of illness if some of the counts are abnormal. But, I wouldn't say this is always done.
