Guys who come on on too strong,future talk, then do nothing or hardly anything

I don't understand why some guys bother with this future talk where it's obvious they can't possibly know if they are going to deliver it. For example, I recently had a guy say he felt he was going to marry me and I would be his future wife. He said he wanted to make breakfast for me, take me a bunch of places THE FIRST TIME I MET HIM. He said he would call me and leave me a voicemail in French because he was so "into me".

 

Of course I didn't believe him, he knew me for 20 minutes! However I did think he'd at least make an effort to call but he texted me 2 days later with a weak "hey how ru" Lame. If it's because they want sex quickly, does what he said actually gets some women into bed? lol who has he been dating? He was 33. I thought I wouldn't encounter this among guys his age

 

Can someone give me insight on why some guys do this?

^I have moved on as I didn't believe him nor am I heart broken. If anything I'm amused . I was seeking to understand this behavior because it seems to be something I come across frequently and seems like a pointless facade.

Hell i never do any of that, however i have had a few people/girls doubt me when i said i would DO something and i actually did it.

One thing i've learned and do in life is not make promises i can't keep or say stuff for the sake of having it said and look "coo".

If i say i'm gonna do something, then i am going to do it.

 

I rarely had future talks with girls i got to know, but when i had those talks i ment it and kept to it, the fact that they are no longer with me so i can acomplish what i said is not my fault ).

 

Buuuut, that was a lol, to go that far in just 20 minutes.

I understand that sometimes people get caught up in flirting so I don't take it very seriously anymore, but yeah, this was excessive..and the contrast between his action and words was remarkable. lol.

Because some people will tell others what they think they want to hear so they can get what they want from them. He probably picked up that you weren't having it so he went on to the next.

 

I recall a guy I used to know, he had this schtick where he would meet girls in the club and he had this spiel about how he had $10,000 saved in a special account to buy a ring for a girl because he wanted to fall in love and get married and blah blah blah. LOL. This guy didn't have a pot to piss in much less 10 grand. Some girls ate that shet up though.
