Please dont mistake Im advocating a diet or anything, but I watched the documentary 'Fat, sick, and nearly dead' and it got me WAY interested in juicing.

So I bought a juicer & started substituting a few meals.

I'll tell ya, you do feel very hungry & feel some amazing things happening to your body that you begin to pay attention to.

You have new energy or you have none, or a headache, or you feel really balanced & maybe lose a few lbs.

The main point is, my A ended in Nov. and I've been going through the stages of greif and suffering greatly in self esteem.

This helped me so much to change my focus. Its a 'healthy' new obsession, and Im not recommending or advocating, its just SO exciting to find an unexpected source of happiness or distraction.

Sometimes its the little things, and I will take anything!!! :)

As a BS I agree with this also-as I always say do something, anything to change your focus-after dday, I discovered yoga and it changed my life- it gave me focus and distraction-I set small goals and celebrated little victories about me, just me-!

No matter where you are in the triangle-its a painful, difficult journey and everyone involved is much better off if everyone else in the triangle also takes care of them-

Good luck and happy juicing-

PS- I am 13 months post dday and I still practice yoga 3-4x week; its a part of my life and something I do just for me- stick with your new found "hobby" and it will pay off in spades!

Thats so awesome I also adapted an intense gym routine. I go to extremes to move forward and its nice to hear from a perspective on the other side of the triangle too.

So easy for each of us to self destruct if we dont look for a new path.

Namaste

Kundalini Yoga has been helpful for me- I am still with my MM, but W/we recently had an upside down situation that resolved. I realized I needed a different focus to remain healthy in this situation. The breath exercises along with the different poses assist in clearing my mind and allowing me to feel the peace I need to go about my day to day.

Juicing is for the body but Yoga may help assist in nurturing your mind and soul

I love juicing and yoga!

After our recent dramas, I took myself off to a yoga retreat for a week to try and recover. It was either that or a hospital, it was really bad.

A week of yoga, meditation and mindfulness (never done it before) sorted me out. I am calmer, happier, all those big knots that were tying up my body have let go.

Fresh lemon juice in water on waking... vege juices as a fairly regular thing.... and being so much more careful about the food I eat being nutritionally sound.

This is the thing, if you look after your body and mind you will get there. Moping and either starving or overeating will not help you. I tend to not eat when stressed and its a terrible thing to do to your body.

Be kind to yourself. At the end of the day you need to be your own best friend.

I agree! I also recommend a FitBit! I have FitBit One and really like it. It sync to My Fitness Pal as well. Gets you moving! :bunny:

Kudos to everyone improving themselves. Like I said I think it benefits everyone in the triangle when we take care of ourselves. I do wish some of these ow and fellow BS would heed this advice. A clear mind and honest heart is a gift not only to yourself but to those around you.

I did the same thing. Exactly. My Vitamix is the new love of my life. ;)

And Shaun T's T25 workout is a great substitute for sex. (Did I really say that?)

I got a BodyMedia FIT and have lost 44 lbs in the past 6 months! It's hard work, but worth it.
