So as we speak, I'v been dating a girl, lets call her Sophie. Sophie is a "Hard body". A girl who goes to the gym, and takes good care of herself. I date Sophie because like her, I to am a "hard body" (Not trying to brag, or sound like an a hole) and its socially acceptable.

Mean while, I see girls who would be considered "Thick, chubby, meaty, whatever" and I would much rather be taking that home every night. I don't find the toned look attractive in a girl, they should be curvy and soft!

Im 6'5, military, gym rat, and feel like because of that im expected to date Barbie. Well, Im not really into that!

Anyone else go through this? Notice the social pressure from friends (even from my family) to date a certain type of girl?

I prefer fit girls myself. Active fit chicks tend to age better too if you are thinking long term.

If you want a thick girl, then go get one. Simple.

I prefer somewhere between fit and fat.

I want a girl to be squishy, have big boobs, but have a relatively flat stomach though a little ponch is fine, shapely legs and toned calves.

Basically a girl that has fat and curves on her, but also has muscle definition and is in decent shape.

My ex was the perfect example of what I like..... :(

Date who you want. I've found family and friends don't care about the details of my life (who I date, etc) nearly as much as I used to think they did.

I love me some curvy girls, but I've never dated one.

The problem with them (unfortunately) is that they only seem to have those perfect curves for a short period of time, lets say mid-late 20's before it just turns to fat.

That's what I am afraid of....other than that I think they're sexy as hell.

If you're friends and family are decent people, they won't give you crap or talk crap about the women you choose to date.

If they are awful/nasty/judgmental, they will make fun of your "thicker" girl and talk about her behind your back, perhaps even telling you that you can do better.

My boyfriend dated me even though his friends thought he could do "better" than an average/ugly girl.

His friends opinions ruined it for him; they told him I was not attractive enough for him, which in turn, lead him to have a bit of a complex whereby he thought/still thinks" that he was much better looking than I am.

Just bare in mind the sort of people you associate with. Truly nice people simply won't care WHO you date, as long as they are not morbidly obese and then they would have a right to be "concerned" for health reasons, rather than just for superficial reasons (my exes awful friends had no "health reasons" to talk crap about my looks).

This is refreshing too hear as a thick girl I've found there's loads of men even the insanely sexy ones that adore beefy girls, one thing I find issue is usually shallow friends give them stress about it pretty much what Leigh said, its a shame cuz im really pretty there are super pretty bigger girls but friend pressure can suck.

I have no idea when sometimes men date girls their friends have to think is hot too, wouldn't you not want that lol

I recently dated a guy the other night who is mega fit while I am chunky turns out he likes that I was in shock since I snooped his fb and found out his ex looked like a model but yet he's interested in me, but it has made me wonder what would his friends think if it got serious.

Big girls are beautiful tho even some bigger men, hell there's a guy at the LC I have my eye on and he's got a bit of man boob, but he's still so very cute.

I've had friends pretty much ruin things for me with someone and it sucks. On the one hand, the common sense thing to say would be "well if your friends don't like it, you don't need them" but I'm not naive enough to think that's a viable solution. Basically, you have three options; 1) stick with Sophie, 2) find a girl more to your tastes and date her in secret, 3) find a girl more to your tastes and make it clear to your inner circle that you're not going to entertain any criticism.

Personally, IMO, the best solution would be to date who you want and make it clear to your friends that your preferences are not up for debate, and be firm but slightly subtle about it. Most people get the point pretty quickly. Either way, if you find a girl more to your tastes and she makes you happy, I'd hope your friends would see that and respect your choice.

I find it kind of funny that you say this though because a lot of the military guys I've known have had a preference for thick/chubby girls, a few of them even preferred really large women (I'm talking "SSBBWs" and the like) and never really encountered much of a problem within their social circle. Although that may have been because their preferences were known to their friends from very early on.

Short, big butt & boobs. I'm "thick" and don't get a second look. What I would do to get the self esteem boost if getting hit on just once! Society tells us that girls like me are not sexy and can't keep up with the "fit" girl. So guess where that has me? Up in the gym, working on my fitness and drinking veggie smoothies...

Frankly, I don't believe you. I don't know your specific reason but, without any doubt, you are just saying that to start a discussion.

'age better too if you are thinking long term' That made me chuckle. Sounds like you are buying a pedigree dog.

you probably do and don't even realize it. it's so bizarre that women are looking at magazines and such that show thin, fit bodies and yet when you see the types of women men gravitate towards it's usually the fuller, healthier-looking women. I'm just stick straight like a pole and bf's have often told me I could use more fat, etc. I came to the conclusion long ago that despite what media may show us, my body type is actually not the preferred one and your 'thicker' one is. you won't have a problem finding someone.

If a guy really cares about the girl he will tell his friends off if they make any comments. Everyone has difference preferences ovbiously. Curvy women are very hot.

Ya I get you - been there and still am. So what kind of man are you - a 6'5 guy who cares what others thinks and is intimidated by this - or chases his passions and whats right for him.

Also If you not really into your current gal - then cut her loose. Right thing to do.

I think I'm more of a Scarlett Johansen or Ms. Monroe body type. Not thin, but not fat, and very curvy. I've always been extremely self conscious because of the rail thin images of women that you see on tv. I do not have 6 pack abs, and could stand to lose a little, but my guy goes absolutely nuts and can't keep his lips off me. He thinks I have an amazing body and makes me feel incredibly sexy. I think his glasses need to be checked, but I'll take it. :p

That is to be expected depending on the age demographic......so what do your friends think of him?

OP....I hear what you are saying, but am sure other guys/men will agree with me when I say, chubby/thick women are hard work i.e. it's hard to get a momentum going during sex and you are limited as to what you can do in the sack with them

Another point someone brought up is "long term" i.e. I am yet to see a heavy woman that has aged well. I need someone that can move / is very active, that I can lift up without breaking my back, go for bike rides with etc

Right handed. I'd bet on it. ;)

Sorry, what?

I'm asking if she be classified as thin, average, chubby, fat etc.

I'd call her average/curvy. Cute.

She's right handed based on the asymmetry of her boobs.

The asymmetry of her boobs? LOL at first guess I was thinking it was some kind of masturbation joke, like she played with one boob more than the other. But that doesn't make any sense :o

Yeah, she'd fall under average/curvy for me as well. She probably could lose 5-10lbs but only if her boobs didn't shrink. If they would, then it's not worth it.

I don't know the stats, but most people are larger on their dominant side. Pretty simple, really. Look at your second girl. Right handed.

LOL, I had no idea. That's an interesting tidbit.

Sounds like it would be a great pickup line.

"Yup, you're left handed"

"Yes, how did you guess?"

"Your left boob is bigger than your right"

:lmao:

BTW, as for my second girl, I found something really weird.

Check this out.

It's the original image.
