I suppose there is some minimal effect if you are very, very new to such interactions and have no opportunity to better them IRL at the same time. I doubt most people here are in such a situation though.

Just curious -was reading a thread a little down the list talking about how to improve ones 'game'. Minimal effect were my thoughts too.

As far as I am concerned, it has affected it negatively.

 

So much easier to do things in writing, but sometimes, it's just best to say/do things face to face.

Nope. I simply learn a bit more about how men think or feel in particular situations or in regards to some subjects.

 

I don't think anything replaces or helps improve real life interactions other than real life interactions. You gotta practice the actual thing to get better at it, not some alternative. At least thats what I think.

Flirting online doesn't help your ability to flirt in real life at all.

 

Though things are a little different if you are actually flirting with a specific person and doing it through PM's and emails. That still can have an air of falseness if you don't actually know the person IRL.

I met my most recent ex online, when we met up it wasn't awkward as we had been talking online so I guess it was good for breaking the ice.

 

In terms of flirting, I didn't really see much difference other then having some courage in real life!

I actually did get better at flirting through talking to girls online. I completely sucked at it before, I eventually became adequate at it.
