Is it just me or do we all rank our men?

E.g. cock-size, worst in bed??

Posted

Yes. I do. My husband is the best in every way.

I have never done that. Every guy has positive and negative traits. I have never compared.

Women rank men, just as men rank women. But those who go around ranking, rating, comparing, are not really satisfied with what they have, if ever.

Hi Frank.

I am very happy :)

When sitting with close friends, do people not discuss these sort of things? i.e. Scarfman (Codename) was so bad in bad ... 3 thrusts and he was knackered! So and so was so much better in bed than him, but he was fairly big in the trouser department ;)

Hi pteromom,

when I discuss sex with friends I can recall who was amazing! But then they ask ... "what made him amazing?" so the discussion builds ... "how big was he?" "did he have a favourite line?"

If you sit down and think about each lover, you've got yourself a ranking table. It's amazing how much the mind remembers when sex is involved ;)

Sure, I can tell you who was good and who was bad, etc.

But I just don't take it to the next level of comparing them with each other.

As a man, no I have not discuss such things with friends. In fact, I never compared any of my ex-girlfriends, or women I dated, to other women. I take each woman as an individual when I'm in a relationship with one. But I know that many women like to chat about comparing or ranking men, because I've been told and overheard women do this. The last woman that compared me to other men, I broke up with.

I understand that it's fun to do this while sitting around with friends, entertaining the whole grass-is-greener idea, but I believe when you indulge in such fantasies, you end up projecting any disappointments you may have in your current relationship, and the other person picks up on this, leading to the demise of a good relationship.

Due to the rapid processing speed of the brain, it is often difficult not to EVER make judgments about something

Not true.

I rank the women that I've been with. The ones that aren't on my lists I don't remember.

I've been satisfied enough to be married and want to do it again.

I think it's just a natural thing we all do.... compare someone we meet with: ourselves, friends/family, ex partners....

It's not a bad thing.

I have a few different classes for the women I've been involved with but I don't think any of them have number rankings.

Same here. They are all individuals, not points of data.

I've never ranked girls that I've dated. What a waste of time.

The only thing that I do is identify traits that I'd like (or not like) in my future wife.

I have always noticed things I do and do not like. So there is always some automatic selection going on.

There are those that I have liked much more than others (out of a handful of partners) so there was some ranking done to get to conclusions.

They're completely different worlds, in my mind. Different times in my life, different situations, different everything. Definitely no ranking going on here.

I know who my worst lovers were and the best but there is no ranking as such.

Yes we rank

My First ExH, was so awesome that he is on a different page. In the 30 years since we separated, I have never met anyone who could even come close to being put in second thru 10th place.
