Woggle Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 The state of MORALITY is that bad in the US But as long as we all FEEEEEEL good that's what counts I don't know if anybody has seen that episode of The Simpsons where everybody wants to be like bart and do what feels good but that is what our society reminds me of these days. 1
Author Minnie09 Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 Minnie, can I ask, why are you on Ash…Mad? Yes you may....To summarize it quickly: no interest in commitment. But male company is appreciated. Traditional old sites have been unsatisfactory. This is my last resort. If this isn't working I'm giving up.
CarrieT Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 This is my last resort. Okay, as a fellow female, why would you knowingly engage in activity that would hurt someone by your actions? Are you that desperate for male company that you have to steal another woman's man? 3
experiencethedevine Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Okay, as a fellow female, why would you knowingly engage in activity that would hurt someone by your actions? Are you that desperate for male company that you have to steal another woman's man? Quite. Regardless of the fact that her over-sexed husband feels it necessary to pay for two idiots making an awful lot of money, as I have previously mentioned, out of other people's prospective misery, to facilitate him in his clandestine quest for 'more'. Some women do not share an affinity with their gender........ 1
Secret Advisor Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 The advertising is very slick. It attracts the higher-class male in the same way that a BMW or cigar commercial does.
gaius Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Who is they? People will always do anything they want: murder, rape, cheat, lie, you name it...we can ALL judge them lol, we also needn't make it easier. I don't care to patrol people's cheating but I wouldn't try to make money off of it. John and Jane can cheat if they want, I'm not standing in their way but I sure won't roll out the red carpet and get them to pay me to help them. They = whoever runs ashley madison. And I get that attitude. I just think that we're kidding ourselves if we think one less person would be cheating without that site being around. 1
gaius Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Okay, as a fellow female, why would you knowingly engage in activity that would hurt someone by your actions? Are you that desperate for male company that you have to steal another woman's man? Not stealing, just borrowing. I made an account on there a long time ago when I was single and making accounts everywhere. There's all kinds of people, single one's included. I'm sure there's those with open marriages as well. It's just a dating site with an atmosphere that's more tolerant of that kind of stuff. And isn't it better you have it there in one place so less of that leaks into the other dating sites under false pretense? 1
carhill Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Since AM has been around for nearly 13 years, and is headed by a lawyer, it follows that their focus would be/could be on professional males. More money, more options, better revenue. It appears the same parent company runs a 'CougarLife' dating service, as well as a site for swingers and for 'established men'. Where vices exist, someone fills them. In this case, it's apparently a Canadian company run by a man named Noel.
Author Minnie09 Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 I am single and signed up on various sites. Believe it or not.....the cheaters are everywhere. The liars are everywhere. Just the quality of cheaters is different. The okc and pof cheaters are mostly low class.
cocorico Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Are you that desperate for male company that you have to steal another woman's man? I'm assuming that, by creating a profile and subscribing to the service, the man is considering himself to be consenting, and so is not some passive possession to be "stolen". He is exercising his own free will, as a human agent. Perhaps if his W treated him less like a possession and more like someone with his own agency, he wouldn't be on there in the first place.
VeronicaRoss Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Alpha males also tend to have a greater disposition toward narcissistic personality disorder and bi-polar disorder (long periods of not needing much sleep, high energy spurts, lowers impulse control, creates big risk takers). It would make a lot of sense they would also be the ones OK with the value prop of AM -- the end justifies their means and they're risk takers. 1
