i was going to post something earlier that was very long and boring, but decided to get to the point and not ramble on...

so here's the question...

the other day in class this girl gave me "the look. I sit right next to her, and this "look" lasted like 10 seconds. i made a little joke about having crush on her, (i was just kidding) and it resulted in this 10 second gaze. so the other day i really didn't have a crush on her, but today, i like her a lot, pretty much all becuse of that look.

actually, to be honest, i told the little joke, then i started talking to my friend (it was long done with) and then i looked up at her, and she was looking at me kinda funny. so i casually said "what?" and then the gaze happened. and im trying to figure out what to do.

becuse she has a BF that she has been seeing for a long time, and i dont want to do anything like that.

so the question i have for you guys isnt "what should i do". rather its:

"if a girl gazes at you for 10 seconds, does that mean she likes you? could she just be 'curious'?

thank you

No. The "look" could be her wondering why you said that about the crush, and you're misperceiving it. It could be she's interested. It could be she had a trance-like moment and you were in front of her at the time. It could be her wondering, "what the hell is he thinking?"

In sum, it could be any number of things, liking you included, but not necessarily that.

actually....

the "joke" that i was talking about...

i ususally try to be careful while posting stuff online... you know, just in case people from my school might visit this site, read my post and go wtf? is that _______? well i guess im too paranoid. the world is not that small. so i lied... i didnt tell a joke, i just said that to make it more "universal" to sorta. protect the innocent..... nevermind.

ok, so i didnt really tell a joke. what happened was i had typed an assignment incorrectly, and i asked her .... "do you think the teacher will accept this" adn she said , "well you were supposed to do this/ that... do you want me to re-write it out for you?" and i said "thats ok, ill be fine" and i kinda laughed under my breath, thinking to myself "wonder if she likes me" and i think she saw me laugh a bit... so thats what got her thinking.

and not to ramble on and on, but there was this one time my class was doing a group assign. and some kids werent done, and needed to switch phone numbers... well we WERE done, but i gave her my number anyway. and she asked me if i wanted hers, but i said "thats alright." but when i turned around i saw her writing it on my paper, she said "there just in case." and i can tell you that it didnt have to do with the assignment...

you know actually, sometimes its best to listen to intuition. yes advice is helpful, but intuition is better in most cases. becuase others (especially via internet chat) dont know the little things, and little things add up to alot.

so i guess ill see ya (im not trying to be rude. i do appreaciate the advice. and sometimes intuition is "molded" by facts / advice... long story i read it online once.)
