I'm getting there on the whole getting over my ex thing! It's been a fair few months now and I want to just forget her now. I still miss her, she was a beautiful girl inside and out, BUT she's not with me anymore and I don't want to keep thinking about her as it's pointlessly wasting my time.

I do still think about her, and still get down when I think about her with her new guy etc, but again, I just try and push it to the back of my mind.

My trouble though, is everytime I hear a 'dance' music track, or anything like that, it brings her up in my mind and it stop me from listening to it. she was a bit of a party girl, but I like this music aswell, so I have it on my ipod, listen to it on radio and obviously in the clubs etc. But why cant I just enjoy it, without hearing it and thinking ''oh, she's probably dancing to this'' or ''I danced/kissed etc with her to this, I bet she is with him now instead''! I know its a silly thing, but it just still gets to me!

Don't worry mate that's natural, I have the same thing and there are certain bands I can't listen to now!

That's the thing though, I want to listen to it and not think of her! We had a very similar music taste, as we both listen to just about all genres etc, so its quite hard to listen to anything without it reminding me of her! Even my favourite songs that I've loved for years are hard to listen too!!

Know exactly what you mean. Hes now with someone else and it has tainted lots of songs that I used to love, or even new songs that I know he'll love and prob listen to when with her. It sucks :-(
