Silver93 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I was wondering if people with certain different personality traits attract? I would consider myself a shy guy but I always find myself attracted to the girls that are bubbly, lively and the life of the party.

I'm more on the quiet side and considered a bit of a "goody two shoes" but my ex boyfriend is very loud, out there, been in a fair bit of trouble. Maybe it was just me being attracted to the "bad boy" but we clicked really well and loved each other despite not having too much in common.

But I took a long look back at all my ex-girlfriends recently and noticed an interesting pattern. A lot of the Girls (most of them) were more Masculine/Tomboy types who were extroverted (the opposite of me). But I did not like that. My last girlfriend was more Girly, but still a tomboy (the fact that she was more girly was more attractive to me). But she was more adventurous than I was and so that's why we probably weren't right for each other. Do opposites attract well....Yes, But not sure if people should get involved with people who are not like them. More Adventurous types getting involved with Grounded types don't always work very well together I've noticed. If not, you might as well try turning water into wine, you'll have more luck. I've been on 2 dates with this current guy and even though he's perfectly nice, wet have nothing in common AND I'm not physically attracted to him. Double fail. I'm waiting to see if he's going to ask me out again, then I'll put the kybosh on it. 1

Conclusion: they attract ,but it doesn't mean it will last. I find it very strange, why people are attracted to bad boy type of people.

I think we were both just very very physically attached attracted to each other. As pickflicker pointed out... if you have nothing in common and no physical attraction you are pretty much doomed! 1

I dated a `bad girl` for 2 months, we drink everyday, smoked weird things and has crazy, mad sex. She looks like a goth/rock/ tipe of girl with dark hair and dark eyelashes dark clothes tattoos etc.( but man she was sexy) I dumped her because I almost became an alcoholic ) Good times.

You just need to be at the right place at the right time, other than that is just supporting each other flaws.

I would be quite shy and quiet around girls I like. I am not too awkward though, I try and talk to them and I am quite athletic so I would not rule out having a chance with the more popular ones.
