waterwoman Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 H's 50th party in 2012 was one month before dday when my married life seemed to have gone down some weird alternative reality rabbit hole that I didn't understand. I still feel ill and weak when i think about that time, it was a nightmare of confusion and worry. OW was at the party, garnering sympathy and drama with the will she/won't see leave her abusive H. I even gave her a hug and offered her a bed for the night... . Yesterday I found a big pile of cards from that birthday under the dinning room sofa including a big one from work. Of course I couldn't resist looking her OW's signature. Found it. Everyone else had just written jokey or short messages. OW's said 'T (OW) and family x x x'. Why 'and family' No-one else wrote that. H couldn't stand her H. Was she just talking about her kids, H didn't really know them either. And why if she was trying to throw off suspicion (there were loads of rumours about time) would she add 3 BIG kisses? Resisted the urge to destroy the card..... but I didn't cry just felt a bit irritated and sickened. So I am getting better. Can't wait till it's all just a memory with no baggage attached.
