2 am here just woke up from a bad dream and cant stop crying..My ex comes back and ask for a 2nd chance and i give him a 2nd chance but this past couple days cant stop thinking of what he done and even on my dreams it haunt me.

 

After 3 years of relationship i cant believe he can do that to me im trying to be ok but sometimes i cant shake it off my head..I dont know how to trust him again..Dont know if i did the right choice to give him another chance and how to forget the traumatic event happen just a month ago..I hate him sooo much right now..How he can be that shallow

You have to say it to yourself and believe it. I used to repeat this phrase to myself over and over, "I forgive you for causing me all this pain, and I forgive myself for making bad decisions..." I used to say that over and over out loud. I viewed it as learning by repetition to the point that it's so engraved in your brain that you start to believe and release yourself of any feelings that may still have you tied to a past that you are trying to let go.

Forgiveness is the best revenge. That is something they can never take from you and is excellent for healing your soul. Even better is when you ask for their forgiveness. I just did this the other day and since then, I've had a new sense of peace. It was hard to do at first, because my ego and pride were hurt. But, when I realized the sheer power of forgiveness, it floored me. You also have to forgive yourself. Very, very important to understand this.
