JazzEgle Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 I recently broke up with my girlfriend, well actually she broke up with me. The problem I'm having is that she has still told me repeatedly that she likes me. The one reason she broke up with me is because she said she could no longer trust me. I know I did some bad things to her, but she thinks that I made some of her friends hate her. Well, she has mostly fogiven me, but is still very cold and distant to me. I wrote her a letter of apology asking for a second chance, and she only got more upset, the next day I made her a gift basket with her favorite things. She even got angrier and returned it to me. It seems like everything I do pisses her off more. I know she still likes me a lot, and I feel the same way. I just need some advice on how to show her she can trust me again. I know trust is hard to build, but if I can show her, then she said she may take me back. I'm just confused as to how to do it.
tiki Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 Oh boy, sounds like she's prrreeeetty pissed. If you ever do get her back, make sure you're completely honest with her. And don't ever lie again. Back your words up with your actions. So many men don't do this, and it hurts terribly. It makes them out to be a liar. Promise her honesty, then give it to her.
