Kyle12 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) I guess it shouldn't really be anything relevatory to say that being single and being in a relationship both have their benefits because it is just like anything else in life. If you choose to be single then you enjoy the freedom of not being accountable to a girlfriend or wife but you miss out on the benefits a relationship provides such as intimacy and someone to come home to. If you choose the relationship path you lose some of your freedom and less free time on your hands but there's the benefits as I mentioned above. So who can really say which path is better? Nobody except the individual himself. Everybody is built with different needs and some needs take higher priority than other needs. We can't have everything we want in one path. When you are single you have some justification for being selfish because what you do doesn't effect anyone else. If I want to abuse my body by overeating or drinking or doing drugs or whatever then at least I am not ruining other people's lives in the process. If I was in a relationship it would be inexcusable to be selfish. Edited February 21, 2014 by Kyle12
RonaldS Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 The key to being happy is to not get into one situation and then spend the whole time wishing you were in the other. 2

Author Kyle12 Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Sure when you are single there's times you wish you had a girlfriend but when you have a girlfriend there's times you may wish you had single life back too. 4
Tayken Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 miss out on the benefits a relationship provides such as intimacy and someone to come home to. Well....lets analyze this for a second, if you are single and dating / have FWB...then you have that intimacy side of things taken care of. Be careful what you wish for with the stuff in BOLD....There are many people who go home "to someone" not because they want to, but because they have nowhere else to go / they are trapped Don't be fooled to think every married person likes the situation they are in....heck some even sleep in different rooms. There are a lot of marriages of convenience out there
