markmartinisfast Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 My girlfriend and I was texting last night and she sent a text saying "You are my best friend, Mark" I replied "You are my best friend Amy, and hopefully, future wife" she then said back "if all goes accordingly to plan" to me it seems like she's not sure it will happen, or is she just being cautious?
SYLLPalmer Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I suspect you are a very young couple, which means you are young adults learning to use communication skills. If "all goes according to plan" is used out of context in IMO. But it is semantics really. She was probably flustered by your level of devotion and interest and she blurted that out nervously. In the future it is completely appropriate to ask for clarification. It takes time and practice to learn how to put your thoughts and feelings into words. I imagine she would think it cute that you worried so much. Still young women are very fickle. Only time will tell how devoted and stable this girl will be. No way around it. Until then it is all just words.
Kingston100 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I interpret that as her saying "I hope to be your future wife too", but trying to sound cute and not too eager. I think she was trying to gage how serious you were. My guess is you both see each other as "the one", but aren't ready for a proposal just yet.
Gaeta Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 So what's the plan? To me sounds like she's into it under some sort of condition? You guys had a fall out at some point?
