There is no family at this, just friends going to bars. It's been pretty casual so far honestly.

 

I was imagining a more formal birthday gathering like a dinner/house party with your friends and family...hmmm if it's just friends going to bars then I'd probably have invited him as it would be very low pressure and not that big of a hoopla would be made about "introducing him" and so on. If I really liked him then it would be something fun he could come to, but it really depends on the dynamic you two have had after these 3 dates.

We are not exclusive, I don't know if he is dating others. So I don't see why I should invite him?!

Like I said, you don't have to. But if you don't, he may take it as a sign you aren't interested.

 

Though, you may want to bring your concerns to him. Something along the lines of 'Here are my birthday plans. I would like you to come, but keep in mind there will be 30+ people there and I may not be able to hang out with you all the time. You decide if you want to come or not and I won't take it badly if you don't.'

 

In his position, I would avoid a situation like this like the plague...
