Author skippy88 Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 Hmmm. interesting me and this girl get along great etc. and in talking to her about valentines day and our lack of dates she said "too bad our last names are the same." I used to feel that way but i've gotten to the point where it doesn't bother me, since neither of us know of any of the same people we're related to. The only problem it seems is being in a small town people would talk, and convincing her.

My last name is not common so when I came across this man with my last name, in a city of 4 millions, I asked a few questions, called my dad, and turns out our fathers were cousins! He did not mind, I could not make myself date him, suddenly he was like a cousin. 1

In the county i live in there are at least two other families with the same last name that i'm not related to. In fact my whole name is so common when i have background checks run mine usually take 3x as long because there's so many people with my same name.

Remember that's "at least." So yeah, no matter what you do, you're dating your cousin. Enjoy. 2
