Maybe because I don't have many friends I feel this way....

My boyfriend is constantly always staying at his friend's house, or they are always staying at his house.

He's 20 years old. His friends are his age.... He even has a 30 year old friend who likes to do sleepovers....

I never had a boyfriend who liked to sleepover on weekly basis at there friends house.

I find it strange, and it DOESNT bother me completely. What really does when he told me his friends sleep on the same bed as him. He has a full size mattress. I dunnooooo....

So men how many times a week do you sleep over at your friends house?

Are you dating NFL prospect Michael Sam?

Intentionally? Not since high school.

Accidentally? Only when I crash on my bro's couch because I didn't want to risk a DUI. Never in the same bed. That's weird.

If it is late and one of us is no position to drive for whatever reason it is quite often.

Once in a blue moon if I'm hanging out at a friend's house who lives far away ...... just because I don't want to drive home at 3AM.

I think the last time someone slept over at my house I was like 14, maybe 15.

My brother has had sleep overs at our house and slept over at his friends' house until he was about 21. Usually they would just drink and play video games all night.

I don't know, it's a little weird but not overly so...

Yup if a friend has too much to drink that why I have guest rooms. Hell I have had friends going through a rough patch stay with me for a week before.

Hes only 20 and at that age people have roommates, crash at parties etc. So its not strange on that front.

But the sleeping in the same bed thing is pretty suspect. For heterosexual men the notion of sleeping together is simply not even a thought or option.

Haven't done "sleepovers" since I was 10.

on occasion I've crashed at friends places when too drunk to drive.

But no straight guy will sleep in the same bed with another male friend. Full size beds aren't very big either.

My husband said that when he was that age he'd end up staying at his best friend's overnight about once a month or so.

when i was in college, maybe once a month.

None.

Unless I'm too drunk.

I saw the thread headline and I was thinking you were going to ask about staying over with a gf/bf type thing.

Posted

Wait, are we talking male or female "friends" here?

Posted

I feel very bad for you because... yes, there is a definite possibility your boyfriend is gay.

No heterosexual guys I know (including myself) ever sleep over frequently at their friends house - and certainly not in their beds!!

I think the last time I did this was when I was maybe 12, but in separate sleeping bags...and certainly not close enough to be able to touch each other...

You need to have a "discussion" with your BF.

Posted

I've never slept in the same bed with a friend, not even when I was to drunk to walk, I prefer sleeping on the floor than in bed with another dude.

Your boyfriend might be gay, or they bring girls there and lies that he sleeps with his friend.

Sounds like a cover for female/male sexual behavior or they're some hardcore gamers.

My BF frequently stays at different friend's places, but he always takes the couch. It's not uncommon for guys to have "sleepovers" (lol) but straight guys would never even consider sleeping in the same bed unless they were ridiculously desperate for... idk, the point is that guys don't tend to sleep together if they're not gay.

When my son would come home on leave, various friends would always be coming over to play games and would spend the night. NBD. One of them always takes a couch or a floor though. I can't remember the last time one of his friends might have shared his bed ... But it was not after he reached middle school.

I'm not saying it's odd. Just my experience with young men and sleepovers

I wouldn't say he is gay, might be bi by his behavior...

And you're okay with this???

I've crashed at a buddy's (guy or girl) countless times because we all party a lot and I didn't want a DUI. I mean we drink every weekend and sometimes during the week so it's often people can't drive home. I'll always just crash on the couch or an air mattress or something.

I have actually split a bed with dude friends prob a handful of times in a hotel when there were a ton of people in it getting wasted and only 2 beds so we'd put two to each bed because nobody wants to sleep on the floor without pillows to lay on. Hell even then it's necessary for room- 12ish people have trouble finding floor space in a two person room hahah. Didn't think it was weird we faced opposite ways and it's not like you are cuddling haha so whatever. No reason to be homophobic, but if there is a semi-comfortable alternative I'll always take that instead.

I'm a woman and I've witnessed this often.

I've shared a bed with male friends countless times, without anything remotely sexual going on. Heck, this very weekend I'll be sharing a bed with a male friend, in a hotel room, without anything happening. We'll be crashing due to drunkness!

And I find the same to be true for my other friends. In my group we party at hotels quite often. Sometimes to lessen the costs there will be a lot of sharing of beds and floor space. 3 to a kind size bed is not unusual in my circle.

I've had 2 male friends crash in my bed, with me in it as well, after a long drunken night out! No sex or even flirting happened.

Why does he have to be gay? Why is that what people jump to immediately? Or he's cheating... Why is it so weird that people have sleepovers??

My house doesn't have a lounge. So there is no sofa for people to crash on. So if I have friends staying over I'll either put out the air bed or we'll share my bed. If it's a spur of the moment thing and it's late, I can't put up the air bed because of the noise it makes. So bed it is! Why is that weird??

Well as long as he's not cheating with these men... Why should I care?

I would pray he isn't gay, or cheating on me.

I guess it's not the norm for some, and it is for others.

I know I haven't had a sleep over in years with my best friend... we're 23 years old.

We used to have sleep overs in our teen years all the time...

My current so have sleep overs about twice to three times a week.

One of his girlfriend best friend have spoken to me about this. She HATES it when they have sleep overs. She hates it because when her boyfriend sleeping over he will NOT response to her phone calls, or text AT all until the next day. Luckily I can't say he ignores me like that.

This is weird.

I have never had a boyfriend that did sleepovers with other guys unless it was out of necessity. Example: if someone came into town or something and had to stay at his place or if he was drinking and crashed at someone's place for a few before driving, and even so the latter didn't ever happen while I was with them. Those things are one thing but NEVER have I had (or heard of) a bf who did "sleepovers" with men just for fun when he's an adult, much less while in a relationship with me. None of my boyfriends preferred to go sleep on some dude's couch or worse bed (WTF?! I've NEVER HEARD THIS. Even when the necessary sleepovers occurred, they slept on couches or air beds or guest rooms not in bed together) over sleeping with me...that actually sounds crazy. I'm sorry but this is EXTREMELY strange for a guy with a gf to have 'sleep overs' in the same bed with other men constantly. I hate to suggest it, but maybe something is going on between your bf and these "friends" of his.

My boyfriends would hang out with their friends but there was no sleeping over and especially when with me most nights, even if spent with the guys, after all was said and done they would want to come home to me after. 9/10 times I was their date to whatever it was or if it was a guys thing, at the end of the night they gladly said bye to their friends and came over to my place. I can just imagine me asking any of my male friends about this, exes or female friends and I guarantee they will all look at me crazy and be like wtfff???!!! Which guy would want to do that?!
