I was given the opportunity to go and live in an area with really dense bush, completely isolated.

I wouldn't have any company, and would need to be flown in and out to the particular location.

It would be for 6 months. I would leave for a few days once at the 3 month mark.

Does anyone see this a possible outlet for personal growth? The overall idea is sitting really well with me, but the idea of being so isolated from others is intimidating. (I would only be able to have contact in emergencies)

Thoughts?

Even though Im an introvert and I like spending time by myself, I don't think I would be able to handle solitude for this long! Especially if I did not have another human for company or at least skype.

What would you be doing with your time?

It really depends on your personality and how you handle solitude.

Personally, like regine, even though I'm an introvert, I need regular contact with the few people whom I do care about. How about you?

I am much the same. Usually if I go a day without seeing anyone I will still have a phone conversation. So I am not sure.

I would be doing some research, but it wouldn't be time consuming at all.

My main thinking was that it would be stretching the limits for me in a lot of respects, and that good be a good thing, but I am sure there is plenty of potential for it to be negative too.

Then you would go completely bonkers by yourself.

Yeah, I agree with Emilia. This really doesn't sound good at all. Zero outside contact, not much work to keep yourself occupied... Some boundaries aren't meant to be pushed, IMO.

I'd go if I had an internet connection and a computer. Sounds like heaven.
