Radu Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Just wheel a shopping cart home like they do in the lesser areas here in the States. It doubles as a toy for the kids! There is so much wrong in this. It doesn't fit on the bus [it's more of an extended 15 passanger van for americans, i'm referring to something that is called there 'dollar van/bus'], and i really hate kids. I'm getting the situation fixed though, i've postponed it for some time now but in around 3 weeks i'll have a car. 1
Radu Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Ah, so where you shop isn't your local then. Yeah, almost everything is at half price there.
JourneyLady Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I'm one that would, if things run out in this town I'm in. I'm either country or city, but very much like old-fashioned manners. As well I love rural areas and lots of woods and vistas around. So I'd go there in a heartbeat and will if things run out here in town.
amaysngrace Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 i really hate kids. Then you should be happy to know that many of those kids don't have yards to play in with their metal shopping cart...only parking lots....
skippy88 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Is this about farmersonly? didn't see the story, but i am on that website. the good, more people with similar interests. The bad, i don't see myself driving for 1-2 hrs to cities that i hate, to go on a date just to get rejected. There's a lot of girls in love with the idea of living in the country, on a farm, etc. but once they realize its a 15-30 minute drive to town, they change their minds.
Got it Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 As someone who grew up in the country and lives there now I would not recommend it (unless you are a farmer or raising kids). It is a very isolating existence when you are single. I am near some great cities...if you consider and hour or 2 near. With the exception of summertime, there is very little options to socialize unless you are into bar league sports or watching NASCAR at the local pub (I am not). The nearest movie theater is 40 minutes away. I have lived in Baltimore and all around DC and I can say moving back to the country was really difficult and I long for the day when I can find that happy medium in which I can have a small place about 15 minutes from downtown city anywhere. Really!?! There is NOTHING like Middleburg to make one love the country. It is the best of country life but no NASCAR just ponies, ponies and more ponies! For me it depends on what type of country we are talking about, camo and deer hunting. No. But horses, fox hunting and horse farms. Yes!!!

I thought that site was for farmers and country folks only. I didn't know city people were interested in it too.
Woggle Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 No farm living for me. Living by the beach has spoiled me to the point that if it is not nearby I feel like something is missing. 1
