Don't you guys think you're being a little harsh on mawadelle? This is a newcomer to the LDR forums who came out and posted her story and hasn't said a single unkind thing to anyone, and she's being ganged up on by the regulars. Just remind her to be cautious and move on, sheesh.

I agree. I'm also new here but surprised how people, who have their own questionable problems, are so judgmental. I have gasped on occasion at the things some of you write. These people who you comment on are real; I wonder if you would ever say the things you say to them to their face.

 

That being said; a lot of posts are heartwarming and even extremely funny

I don't think anyone's being really unkind to her, she seems to have it under control with her sharp answers. Clever lady.

Within the EU we can travel without a passport. It's just the UK I guess, as I said in my previous post.

 

I've travelled to and from the UK plenty of times without a passport. But I do have a national ID card.

I now tend to use my passport purely because the queues for border checks are smaller when you're using an electronic passport!

 

But in the UK, since there is no other form of national ID they need to have passports to travel (since drivers licenses aren't acceptable anywhere)

IMO, FitChick's posts are glaringly obvious. But yes, you're right, mawa does have it under control. It just rubs me the wrong way to see a newcomer who shared her life/relationship story being picked on without provocation.
