beyondcrushed Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 So this guy and I have been chatting over the last week. Went for coffee once. And a movie last nite for Vday. Before we parted I suggest we go skiing tonite. He said maybe, and that he has work to do and there's always tomorrow. He said we'd play it by ear. So he was non commital for tonite. I figured he isn't gonna ski tonite, so I made plans with a friend. Do I cancel on him tonite saying, "I'm gonna pass on skiing tonite," or do I not bother messaging him, and if he contacts me about skiing tell him I hadn't heard from him and thought he couldn't go so I made other plans? This is tricky cause I'm the one who suggested it, now i'm cancelling.
MidwestUSA Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 'Maybe' and 'having work to do' are your free passes to make other plans. If he suddenly becomes available, remind him of his noncommittal answer. I wouldn't bother to let him know, the ball was left in his court. You're not canceling on him; you had no plans. 6
