Indysgirl Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Hi, I was dating a guy before Xmas for a while, but he had to go and work abroad for a couple of months. He said he would call when he got home and that it was up to me whether I wanted to see him or not. Thing is, he's called and sent me texts a few times and I have replied, but for the last 2 weeks I have heard nothing! I have sent 2 texts, but have recieved no response. so the question is........ Is that it? was it all a lie about contacting me when he got home or shall I just assume that he has met someone else?
Spider-Man Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 I've had similar experiences. Its quite possible hes met soemone else, then again its quite possible theres a reason hes not replied. I'd try and find out for sure, but also if he has found someone else try not to get too hurt or anything (easy for me to say I know) but basically try and be prepared for either outcome.

I'm sure he thinks your a great girl but ... things alwyas happen when you are away no doubt about that. If he didn't keep up contact whie he was away sound like there was no real commitment for when he got back and it was kind of like a well if i don't met anyone else while I'm gone or if u don't meet anyone while I'm gone then we will chat and see where it goes from there. Sounds like he has decided it was over before it started. Dating is a strange thing you can get attatched very quickly but really you don't owe eachother anything... not even an explanation.. you can walk away anytime and you don't have to explain yourself... its hard to take but very true. I would not even bother finding out what happened .. if he was really interested he would still be calling. Cut your losses and start looking around like you should have as soon as he left.... just like he did.
