My dating life has reached the point where I've got set standards on whom I'd want to date (none of that shallow stuff but personality things, similarities in lifestyle etc). As such I'd met two girls whom I was unsure of, yet have fun hanging out with.

Valentines comes and goes and I was tossing up whether I should have dived myself into things becoming romantic etc. I guess my feelings for either was unsure - one girl is too young while the other is very more withdrawn - so I simply left it as flirting over text messages while I got on with my life.

Obviously now that the days over I feel like maybe I should have bought into the whole consumer mentality of it all and done something? Thing is I probably meet atleast one new girl every week through life so I'm always out and about which is why my feelins for these two maybe still murky.

Not necessarily true. I'd say that you're not really feeling it with either of these girls.

Stick to your standards.

Don't sell your standards out to the peer-pressure of V-Day. Just do Valentine's when you are genuinely feeling it with the right person.

You made the right choice. It puts hair on your chest to go against the tide of society and stand alone. Keep walking to the beat of your own drum.

No.

Valentines day is special only when you have someone really special. Absent a special person it's not a special day. That said, with that special someone in your life, everyday can be a special day.

So look for that person who makes everyday life with them special.
