sleeplessinslc Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 It was so much easier back in the day- trying to forget someone and move on. But with Facebook and Instagram and Twitter, backsliding has become so easy. I've blocked him off Skype, Gchat, Viber, all communication platforms we were on. I blocked him on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram but his Twitter and Instagram posts are public and it's sooo easy to go back and check even if I blocked him. I'm good at NC - resolved that I would never get in touch with him anymore but snooping and checking on him is so so easy online. The worst feeling in the world is I'm dying to know how he's doing but when I find out that he's moved on - it just crushes my heart. I need intervention. It's been a month since we ended our relationship. Is this just going to be matter of time before I snap out of it? How did you guys do it? Apart from sheer determination? How did you stop internet - stalking your exes?

I just know the answer and it feels better disregarding it)
Jethro Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 How did you guys do it? Apart from sheer determination? How did you stop internet - stalking your exes? After 2 years of internet stalking and torturing myself, only one thing stopped the horribly vicious cycle. Another woman.

Another woman. Ahh man, 2 years!!!!! Noooooooo. haha I just want this phase to pass as quickly as possible. It is torture- seeing him and his ex back together! Ughhh! At first I thought it was what I HAD to see to prompt me to move on and forget him. But it just fueled fire to my curiosity. Where do I purchase extra strength will power?!?!?

I'm just so so so weak and end up losing the mental battle all the time and I find myself snooping on the ex.
CaliGypsy Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 How about going old school and deactivating the SM? At least temporarily. ? You can always re activate later
Author sleeplessinslc Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 How about going old school and deactivating the SM? At least temporarily. ? You can always re activate later Ah good. Practical Tip. Deactivating works for Twitter. But on IG - he's public so I can just easily type up his instagram URL and out it comes! On FB- he's blocked so- I can't see any of his stuff anymore. I can't deactivate beacause I use my FB account to manage pages for work and get in touch with other friends. I'm pretty good at avoiding him on FB- never backslid there- he's still blocked- so, there's some achievement there. But Instagram AAAAND his Youtube page AAAND his personal website - haha - there's no escape from his online presence.
TaraMaiden Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 .....At first I thought it was what I HAD to see to prompt me to move on and forget him. But it just fueled fire to my curiosity. Where do I purchase extra strength will power?!?!? It's on the top shelf. You can get Dignity with it, at half-price, if you purchase the two together. they're also giving away free samples of Pride at the checkout. Help yourself, you won't be disappointed..... 1
