I will send virtual flowers to a girl i'm talking to, she is in Spain now but she will come home in april. Other than that I will go out with my friends as usual. 1

Thankfully a friend of mine (also female currently single as well) suggested we take a road trip that night. Our road trips are always an adventure, we just drive with no destination in mind until we find something that peaks our interest!

I was an absolute wreck, going so far as having night sweats and needing to take sleeping pills for 2-3 weeks but still waking up at 2 in the morning. Told most of my friends and people I knew about the breakup, and they set me up with some single females. I didn't feel like dating at all, but forced myself to go out and have fun. Met this amazing GORGEOUS girl, and have been seeing her for a month now. We are spending Valentine's together going out to a Thai place, and perhaps having drinks at her place. I am so happy. Never thought I could get to this happy place. Funny thing, a couple days ago, I started to imagine that this girl is someone I will want to marry one day. And I'm thinking this pragmatically, without wearing the proverbial rose-coloured glasses that often happens when someone is swept up romantically with a new love. Then an hour later, my ex (who I havent heard from for 6 weeks) emailed me and then texted a couple hours after that asking how I was doing? It's like she knew I had moved on. 1

It seems everyone in my region is going to have a messy Valentine's day this year. I'm not going to lie. I was hoping Superbowl and Valentine's day were going to be sucky this year for everyone [that I know] since I was suffering and would find it harder to know my ex or everyone else was enjoying the day while I am healing...it's my vindictive side, but it's nice to know I'm not missing out on much this year

I have my first LS date During our date, we can pig out on pizza, watch anti-romantic movies (must make sure there isn't even a background couple in any scene), and, of course, vent about our exes. That's important, switching off your phone. My ex will probably be out with her single girlfriends. Last time my ex went out, which wasn't too long ago, she texted me several times and asked me to come. I knew what that usually meant when we were together. I didn't reply. However, I'm feeling more vulnerable now and the temptation will definitely be there on Valentine's Day. If I feel the urge to contact someone, I'll contact a friend or post on here instead 1

Make the day about you. Instead of sitting in the house, make the day memorable for years to come. " oh man ya I was going through a breakup , valentines day came around and I was going to sit in my house miserable, but I said screw it and went and did ____ instead." LostConfused123 Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Thank Goodness my meet up group just happens to fall on that night. I'm also planning on taking my latest painting somewhere to sell. Might have to do some searching. It's absolutely NOT my usual style at all!! It's an anatomically correct heart with smoking bullet holes, knife slashes, barbed wire, shards of glass and even an explosive arrow. Working on it has made me feel so much better. As gory as it is. Hopefully I can find a place to sell it on Valentine's day and it can be kind of symbolic in my recovery. Then I'll go back to painting castles and fairies and flowers. hahaha! But instead my friend (who has a bf but hes working) has offered to have a night out with me so now ill be getting drunk and dancing till my feet hurt! - shes a good friend. 2

SCJACK Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I was planning to study for an exam the following tuesday (I really hope i can focus) Past month was pretty rough on me, and I have not been motivated to do anything too productive. Although, I try to.. But since it's valentines day.. it sucks, I never spent valentines with anyone before and I was hoping that it would happen this time... but it didn't... Anyways.. my other single friend wanted to go out and about city centre and dress nicely and eat. He's a guy so it seems kind of homo lol. and i'd prefer not being able to see all these couples... but I guess it beats being at home alone..
