This forum has been a big help to me in trying to get past my break up, but now Im wondering if there is another forum somewhere that may be a bit uplifting that you may know of?

As great as this site is, I wonder if reading all the bad things about the breakups, relationships, dating, etc isnt making me feel a little worse. I'd like to find a place to go that has a variety of topics to discuss to help keep my mind off my ex and why he hasn't called and what went wrong, blah blah blah.

Reading forums and getting involved in them is nice though because instead of constantly looking at my phone or letting my mind wander back to him, it gives me something else to do.

Start a new thread:

Call it: "Uplifting news - post your great stuff here!"

head the first post: 'No bad news, please, that's not welcome!'

Then continue with something positive.

If you get any negative posts, hit the 'alert' button and ask mods to remove it, don't comment.

Let's start an "I'm happy" corner!!

As recommending other forums is discouraged here because we prefer our members to use and benefit from our forums, my suggestion would be to post a thread in our Self-Improvement and Personal Well Being area:

Self-Improvement and Personal Well-Being - LoveShack.org Community Forums

Title it: "Posts to uplift your life" or something similar and be clear in the title post that the responses are to remain positive and uplifting. If sufficient interest is generated, feel free to solicit moderation to make the thread a sticky. Currently, there are no sticky threads in SIPWB.
