I've been thinking today...it's not just a man's holiday. I know it's usually the man who get the woman flowers, candy, balloons, etc...but why can't I spoil my man.

I've been thinking & thinking & really listening to everyone's opinions on here. I don't know which way to go. lol

Also, when do I tell him? The tickets are at the hotel, so it's not like I can just give them to him.

Oh, I forgot to mention this guy told me on our second date that if we are still talking in April/May he will take me to Vegas. :D

So in other words, you are both trying to buy each other's affection. Not a good way to build a relationship. Just pick up the tickets from the hotel and cancel the hotel reservation. One month of dating doesn't warrant this kind of over-the-top plans.

I agree. The tickets are plenty. It's great you want to treat your man well - I'm the same way. But don't go overboard - it's very early yet. Cancel the hotel, tell him about the comedy show, and that's more than enough.

"Oh, is that next Friday?" Sounds like he wasn't keeping the day on his radar. That made me cringe.

With that said, you're doing too much. Tickets are fine. No need for hotel room.

Men will say anything. Wait and see if this date in Vegas happens.

I say cancel the hotel, keep the tickets and ask him, "So where are you taking me out to dinner before/after?" Don't know what kind of food the comedy club would have. If it's good, he can pay for it. He had better book a table fast if you are going elsewhere since most of the better places are already sold out.

I was with a man for about three weeks and he took me out to dinner and bought me a bouquet of red roses for Valentine's Day. I didn't do anything other than express my 'appreciation' later that night.
