Yes. We all have some insecurity and depending on our past experiences, personal view of oneself, some manifest that in a more or less healthier manner. We all want to be reassured, in some way, that things are going well. It's normal.

Just make sure you keep it balanced and try not to read too much into words. Always pay attention to another's actions. I don't think so. At least not in an unhealthy way. I believe that planning and then making plans real (even if they are about this weekend's getaway) is a great way to build trust in a relationship.
