Well, I loved living in the U.S very much, best place I've ever been, but working on the Mediterranean sea must be so cool, I need your opinions;)

I didn't know they gave you choices. I thought you went where the cruiseline sent you.

If you haven't already spend some time on a message board called cruisecritic.com It is LS for vacations. Check out what the passengers are saying about the ships, the crew & the itinerary.

How long of an assignment would have you with the cruise line? If you are interested in travel, go the Europe route. Might be a cool experience for you.

Europe for sure. America isn't all that.

Go Mediterranean!

I worked on a 45m Super Yacht years ago and it was an awesome experience (free travel, free food & alcohol, accommodation on-board, tips, really good pay). The work can be hard when the guests are on-board.

If you dont end up working on the royal caribbean then head to Antibes, South France where you should find a job as a chef. When I was there chef's were in high demand... not sure these days though.

Cruises don't usually give you the choice of ship... I know I never had!

The Med is great, but it gets a bit boring. Bay of Biscay is always rough, even on the mildest summer day, so the day after leaving Southampton is always a bit of a challenge (unless you're a freak, like I am and actually enjoy it when the sea is a bit bad)

But on a 6 month contract, you'll see a LOT of Barcelona, Civitavechia, Cannes, Monaco, Gibraltar... It's great! But a tad repetitive. And maybe it's because I'm from Europe and did a lot of Med in my ship stint, but I was over it after 2 months.

But I spent 3 months in the Caribbean and could have spent more... so I guess it all depends..

I say meditteranean... went there on an RC cruise and had a blast. Only downside id say is not as many guests on that cruise spoke english and also the weather is a bit chillier than it would be in the carib
