Real Estate Agents, do they really lack time to socialize?

I had recently talked with someone in a Meetup group that somehow fallen off the planet with our events. I knew her pretty well, lives locally, and I'm a member of a local Meetup group.

She said she's just simply been "too busy sellin' houses"

But come on, real estate agents aren't like firemen or any emergency res ponders, and perhaps they show homes on the weekends...but what about the night life?

She said that "Works been good to her lately", but honestly, how busy are real estate agents?

Do you really not see through this? Thats her being like "Here is a generic answer because I don't reveal what I actually do to people I don't know very well".

Are you going to make a post every time you need to prove someone online was a hypocrite?

I'm not interested either. She's in a Meetup, is on my Facebook friends list, and hasn't been on Facebook chat in a while, I saw here there and gave her a "Hey, long time no see" message.

It'd be quite presumptuous to think me just giving her a "Hello" means I'm interested.

Which I'm not.

IME, no busier than any other self-employed person. However, like most salespeople, if an interaction isn't making them money, it's a lower priority. People who sell have to put in a lot of face time and hand-holding and being responsive to get the deals, and that can be a time-suck and it's definitely not 8-5 M-F.

They have plenty of time to socialize, at least the agents I've known personally, and are usually actively involved in the community, so frequently socializing, either with their families or alone.

Tip: When anyone says they're too busy, it's actually they're too busy to spend time with you. Higher priority people and 'stuff' are ahead of you. That's OK. We each prioritize our lives they we choose. Someone is bound to be affected.

Actually, she's been too busy, even for MEETUP events, so it isn't just me ...personally.

Yes, she prioritized meetup and you lower. Think of it as a ladder. I could have been possible, with sufficient interest, that she might have prioritized you above meetup but below a potential sales client or another date. Regardless, the net result is lack of her presence and that's how it goes.

You do the same but, generally, as men seek out and approach, people who you prioritize lower will often never know that, as they are generally invisible and you never approach them.

Hah, she's probably spending her social time with friends and family and perhaps other men besides going to meetups.

Plus, real estate agents have to meet with customers when the customers have free time (after work hours and on weekends) so in that aspect, real estate agents work a reverse schedule to accomodate showing houses to cusomters with full time jobs.
