ShiningMoon Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) I had a date with this man I met online and during our conversation he said: "At least you look like your pictures". He sent me a text 10 minutes after we parted ways saying: "It was nice to finally see you ". Does this implicitly mean he was disappointed and tried to conceal it or was it just an innocent remark? I forgot to add, he did ask me out on a "real" date before we parted ways! Thanks Edited February 8, 2014 by ShiningMoon
leafguy Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Its possible he has had a bad experience with someone he has met online. I have had a similar experience with this where the girl I met had used photos from a few years prior. Long story short, she had looked a lot different that what I was expecting (not in a good way). Aside from the extra few facial piercings that were not in traditional places, she had put on probably 100 pounds. Not that the weight is the be all and end all, but having a bull ring in her nose would have made me walk away right there, aside from the two rings in her lip and piecings in her chin.
MrMeh Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 He's glad you are as attractive as your picture. 4
FitChick Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Too many people lie by posting older photos of themselves. They ruin things for the rest of us with current, clear photos. You never know what anyone will look like these days until you meet them.

Author ShiningMoon Posted February 8, 2014 Author Posted February 8, 2014 How on earth did you find something negative in there?? I didn't say it was negative. I was just wondering why he made this comment since no other guy I met before him mentioned this to me.

You asked if this implicitly mean he was disappointed. I just don't see where you would find hints he was disappointed in what you told us...
FitChick Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 If it was a negative comment, he wouldn't have asked you out.
