It's sad to be unpartnered any day of the year. The drama around VD only makes it worse and for some can be traumatic. It doesn't particularly matter whether you are young or old, male or female, gay or straight.

I am have been single for over 4 years and do feel worse over VD but I know a women will turn up eventually.... i hope

None of that seems good enough.

He already gets fed. I'm gonna bake some stuff but that's not enough. Not even close.

He gets multiple blowjobs every day as it is.

The things people suggest I do are things I already do every day. I don't know how to do something even more special. And what especially sucks is that he does not like me spending money on him. He got grumpy over the amount I spent for Xmas.

Plus I work full back to back shifts on the 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th so I don't even know WHEN I can do anything or how I'm gonna manage any of it.

Well then he's a lucky guy! Honestly, don't stress, I don't know any guys who care much about valentines other than making sure the missus is happy - happy wife, happy life :D

I'm with Mr.C on this, but then again I hate all "present" forced occasions - Christmas, Birthdays, Anniversaries - isn't it much more romantic to get a surprise present on a regular day?

I do it, but under protest - so where's the fun in that?

Your guy doesn't deserve anything special - he's living in heaven already.

You should stop for a day so he knows what he's missing.

Cake every day isn't good for you!

I was talking to this girl I met online and she was saying how on VD she plans to be alone and eating chocolates and sad. I thought only teens made a big deal about Valentine day not grown women

Its amazing how the media controls the thought process of so many people

Honestly, it's another day for me.

BUT...

I can love myself! I'm going to get a massage, mani/pedi, buy myself flowers (just because I love them) and eat cupcake(s) at this specialty cupcake store!

Being single is great!!! I love it! I might go out and flirt with all the single men too just for the helluvit, why not right?!

Yup, it is for me too. But I'm in a relationship with a woman that places some importance to this day. :) So, I can't and won't view it as just "another day."

Good plan! Enjoy!
