So here's an interesting question. I been single now for 2 months after the break up of a 16 month relationship. I just met a new guy who has also just got out of a long (2.5) year relationship. This guy I met on facebook still has tons of pictures of him and his ex on his FB page and poems he posted after his breakup about how the feelings he has for the ex will never go away and he will always love her and hopes time will remove the wall between them. He still lives with the ex due to money problems on her end and a week after our first "date" he re-added the ex on facebook. Does anyone have any ideas on what is going on here? is he using me to get his ex jealous? do you think there really are still feelings there with the ex. we have been hanging out a few times a week and I sleep over his place on nights when his ex is working. What is his deal here, he does act like he likes me and says he misses me.

Ouchies. It's all good if you aren't looking for anything serious, just fun and sex.

He's still living with her? Come on now... I don't even know you and know you're smarter than this. Whether or not he's using you to make her jealous, to avoid the pain from the breakup, to occupy his mind, etc., he's certainly in no place to offer any kind of commitment with anyone new.

This reminds me of the "I'm separated but live in the basement of my "ex"-wifes house" post.

You know what's going on. He just got out of a relationship and he's clearly still into her. The guy is nowhere near emotionally available to you.

Here's the insignificance of "I miss you" and "I like you" especially when you have clear signs contradicting what you think -- my ex would say those words to me all the time, actually "I love you" but then he was cheating. People say all sorts of shytt to get what they want.

Pay attention to what's going on around you and not what he says.

I live with my ex due to financial issues. She doesn't work (yet) and we have some debt we are paying off (will be gone next month). It stinks, though today's house market has made this more and more likely for divorced couples.

Hopefully I'll be out of there in a couple of months.
